The Interlocking Dual-Crimp Structure Resolves The Issue of Steel Wire Displacement
Unlike standard single-crimp screens that lock only on one side, double-crimp screens feature pre-crimped corrugations on both the top and bottom of every warp and weft wire. These corrugations interlock tightly, ensuring the wires do not shift even after a full day of operation under high-amplitude vibration. Tests conducted at an iron ore mine demonstrated that screens with this design retained 98% of their original aperture accuracy after three months of continuous operation.
Stable Classification Performance in Demanding Mineral Processing Environments
In dense medium separation and fine sizing stages, the stable aperture of double crimped screens directly boosts product quality. A coal preparation plant in West Virginia reported that after installing double crimped screens on their desliming decks, the percentage of off-spec fine coal dropped from 12% to under 2%. The rigid interlocked structure also resists localized tearing from sharp, high-hardness ore particles, extending average screen service life by 2.7 times compared to traditional alternatives.

The structural stability advantages of double crimped screens and their reliable application performance in mineral processing make them one of the most underrated cost-saving upgrades for modern concentrators. It requires no modification to existing vibrating screen decks, yet it cuts unplanned downtime and improves final product consistency in a way very few other screening components can match.
